Uses

For muscle disorder.

Instructions

Drink the medicine.

Measure the dose of liquid medicine carefully. Use the measuring device that comes with the medicine. If you do not have one, please ask your pharmacist for help.

Drink medicine immediately after measuring in the syringe. If not taken within 5 minutes, throw away and prepare a new dose.

Do not mix with formula, milk, or any other food or beverage.

If you are giving this medicine through a tube into the stomach, ask your doctor or pharmacist for specific directions.

Take the medicine after eating a meal.

Drink some water after the medicine to make sure it is completely swallowed.

This medicine will work best if you take it at about the same time every day.

Keep the medicine in the refrigerator. Do not freeze.

Store in original bottle, tightly closed and upright.

Please ask your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist how to discard unused medicines safely.

If you vomit after taking a dose, do not take an extra dose. Take your next dose at the usual time.

Avoid getting medicine on skin or in eyes. If medicine gets on skin, wash well with soap and warm water. If it gets in the eyes, rinse with plenty of cool water.

It is important that you keep taking each dose of this medicine on time even if you are feeling well.

If you forget to take a dose on time, take it if you remember within 6 hours of the scheduled dose. If you don’t remember until after more than 6 hours, skip the missed dose and return to your regular schedule with the next dose. Do not take 2 doses of this medicine at one time.

Drug interactions can change how medicines work or increase risk for side effects. Tell your health care providers about all medicines taken. Include prescription and over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal medicines. Speak with your doctor or pharmacist before starting or stopping any medicine.

Tell your doctor if symptoms do not get better or if they get worse.

Keep all appointments for medical exams and tests while on this medicine.

Do not take the medicine more than once during 24 hours.

Cautions

Tell your doctor and pharmacist if you ever had an allergic reaction to a medicine.

May cause mouth sores. Brush teeth gently. Avoid products containing alcohol. Rinse mouth with a mixture of water and baking soda or salt.

It is very important that you carefully measure the amount of medicine you take. Your healthcare provider or pharmacist should show you the correct way to measure this medicine.

Do not use the medication any more than instructed.

Contact your doctor if you develop any signs of a new infection such as fever, cough, sore throat, or chills.

It is unknown if this medicine passes into breast milk. Ask your doctor before breastfeeding.

This medicine can hurt a new baby in the womb. If you become pregnant while on this medicine, tell your doctor immediately. Your doctor may switch you to a different medicine.

Women of childbearing age should have a negative pregnancy test before starting this medicine.

Women must use reliable forms of birth control while taking this medicine and for 1 month after stopping to prevent pregnancy.

Do not share this medicine with anyone who has not been prescribed this medicine.

Side Effects

The following is a list of some common side effects from this medicine. Please speak with your doctor about what you should do if you experience these or other side effects.

  • constipation or diarrhea
  • pain in the joints
  • mouth sores or irritation

Call your doctor or get medical help right away if you notice any of these more serious side effects:

  • cough that does not go away
  • fever
  • sore throat

A few people may have an allergic reaction to this medicine. Symptoms can include difficulty breathing, skin rash, itching, swelling, or severe dizziness. If you notice any of these symptoms, seek medical help quickly.
