Harvoni Oral Tablet
This medicine may be taken with or without food.
It is very important that you take the medicine at about the same time every day. It will work best if you do this.
Store at room temperature in a dry place. Do not keep in the bathroom.
Keep the medicine away from heat and light.
Do not take antacids within 4 hours before or after this medicine.
Medicines that lower stomach acid (used to treat indigestion, heartburn or ulcers) may prevent this medicine from working properly.
Call your doctor if vomiting occurs within 5 hours of taking this medicine.
If you forget to take a dose on time, take it as soon as you remember. If it is less than 6 hours to the next dose, do not take the missed dose. Return to your normal dosing schedule. Do not take 2 doses of this medicine at one time.
This medicine may cause low blood sugar. It is very important to have regular meals and exercise regularly as instructed by your doctor. Notify your doctor if you experience symptoms of low blood sugar.
Symptoms of low blood sugar may include nausea, shaking, sweating, cold skin, fast heartbeat, hunger, and irritability.
It is very important that you continue using this medicine for the full number of days that it is prescribed. Please do not stop the medicine even if you start to feel better after the first few days.
This medicine may affect your blood sugar levels. If you have diabetes, talk to your doctor before changing the dose of your diabetes medicine.
Use effective birth control to avoid pregnancy.
It is very important that you follow your doctor's instructions for all blood tests.

Do not take the medicine more than once during 24 hours.

This medicine can hurt a new baby in the womb. If you become pregnant while on this medicine, tell your doctor immediately. Your doctor may switch you to a different medicine.
Female patients of child-bearing age, or partners of male patients, should have monthly pregnancy tests during treatment and for 6 months after treatment to make sure they are not pregnant.
Do not take St. John's wort while on this medicine.
Ask your pharmacist if this medicine can interact with any of your other medicines. Be sure to tell them about all the medicines you take.
Please tell all your doctors and dentists that you are on this medicine before they provide care.
Do not start or stop any other medicines without first speaking to your doctor or pharmacist.
Do not share this medicine with anyone who has not been prescribed this medicine.
